Three Idiots (Where they met)

A group is generally formed by individuals having common ideology or sharing a same dream. Our group was formed on the latter part. We were sharing the same dream,the dream of getting to the coveted IITs.I wanted to name the story as "Four Idiots" but it would be foolish to call him an idiot.The story revolves round the dream we lived on but was never realized.The summer in Orissa is special.Special in the sense that average temperature soars to 41 degree centigrade and the preparation(This term is only specific to Orissa) for engineering and medical examination starts.

So after 12th board examination in June 2002 we have started our preparation.The central characters in this story are Soumya and Lalatendu,Lucky and Rahul.But later these chaps were known as Bhuyan, Babu Bhai,Javed Bhai and Rawell respectively.So let me stick to their new names. Bhuyan is my childhood friend.Of course the dream was not in our mind during school days.We just loved to roam around Balasore ,our own small and beautiful town.Thanks to our educated parents all these aspirations and expectations were put in place before this preparation starts.Finally we were convinced that our own town will not help them to realize that dream. After a lot of research and hard work we found that Rourkela is the place which has given birth to maximum blue blooded IITian .With the immense help from Mohanty Uncle(Lucky Bhai's Dad) finally we were set for Rourkela.There comes the third character Babu bhai. We met him at station.The regular trains from Rourkela to Balasore are overnight trains, usual time of boarding being 12.00 AM onwards. So me and Bhuyan were waiting at the platforms. Then we saw a person carrying a mammoth luggage and a carry bag accompanying a lady.His name is Lalatendu Sisusekhar Mohanty.The lady accompanying him is Lalatendu's elder sister.She kept on calling Lalatendu "baba".Due to our stupendous talent we interpret that his name is Babu.In Orissa affection can lead to serious disaster in spelling names. For example Makaranda can be a monkey because of affection and you become popular/notorious because of Monkey not for Makaranda.I hate those names through out my childhood.So we thought that Baba can be an amicable interpretation for Babu.In this way Lalatendu lost his initial name and was renamed to Babu bhai.
